Dr. Maus is a renowned physician with extensive expertise in wound management, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and disorders of the lymphatic system such as lymphedema and lipedema. With over two decades of experience in the medical field, Dr. Maus has successfully treated some of the most challenging cases at the Texas Medical Center.
Dr. Maus is double-boarded in Wound Management and Internal Medicine and has a special interest in limb salvage and the diagnosis of the underlying causes of his patient's problems. He uses a variety of advanced therapeutics in his practice to provide the best possible care to his patients. Dr. Maus also holds a certificate as a lymphedema therapist, which he earned at the prestigious Foldi Klinik in Germany under Gunter Klose.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Maus completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He then completed a two-year Fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Healing at Memorial Hermann Hospital, which reaffirmed his passion for wound care and lymphatic disorders and led him to specialize in these areas of medicine.
Dr. Maus is also a passionate educator and has taught countless medical students, residents, and nurses. He has been a mentor for PhD candidates and has participated in groundbreaking research in lymphatic imaging and function. Dr. Maus is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in his field and constantly strives to improve his knowledge and skills.
